A DNA Genetics começou a cultivar nos finais dos anos 80 em Hollywood, na Califórnia. Juntavam sementes de amigos e família, obtendo sementes raras da melhor erva que conseguiam na altura. Em 2002 mudaram-se para Amesterdão, na Holanda. Nos anos que se seguiram, as suas sementes ganharam vários prémios da taça High Times Cannabis.
